Artist Statement
Beverly based artist Bee Colman is a 23 year old digital illustrator interested in graphic design and communication. A recent graduate from Montserrat College of Art, she aims to create works that are clear in meaning and message with both her client-based work and exploratory projects. From creating illustrations of people to designing new fonts and logos, it's her goal to strike a balance between aesthetic and functional images. She is constantly trying to innovate new ways of conveying ideas and messages, and through combining graphic and illustrative elements, her work strikes a unique balance suitable for a variety of businesses or publishing mediums.

Now that we've passed all of that formal stuff... Hi! My name is Gabriella Colman but you can call me Bee. If you guessed that my favorite colors of all time are yellow and pink, you'd be right! I have a chunky and talkative Tuxedo cat named Neo who lives with me in Beverly Massachusetts. Music is a big part of my life, so I love going to concerts and singing songs in my car in my free time. I've been playing the ukulele since I was 14, and I write silly little songs every now and then. I'm very passionate about bees and spreading the word about them! I love fandom and some of my favorite things to draw include characters from video games and cartoons.
